Office

The front room off the foyer has its own fireplace and two stories of windows, which made it the obvious office.

The office: a white plaster fireplace surround with a framed map above, a desk and two upholstered chairs on a gray rug.

The black marble surround was the loudest thing in the house, so we replaced it with smooth white plaster and let the art and the trees outside carry the room. A globe chandelier fills the height.

Office, fireplace and wall of windows

The black stone fireplace surround became a white plaster surround, and the empty room now holds a wood desk, boucle chairs and large art.

Office, tall view (staged before)

The virtually staged lounge, with a green armchair, round marble table and abstract art, is now a working office with a desk, boucle chairs and a white plaster fireplace in place of the black stone one.
